The Academic Pavilion (HKCT Jockey Club Undergraduate Campus) and the Knowledge & Information Centre (HKCT Mong Kok East Campus)
emphasized creativity in their design for the provision of book lending services for study purposes.
Facilities such as self-study carrels, group discussion rooms, display corner, outside reading area as well as numerous computer
workstations are made available for students to learn and access to abundant information from the Internet and electronic resources
in a relaxing atmosphere. Students can freely enjoy academic exchanges and discussions.
Academic Pavilion
The Academic Pavilion will have the extended reference services and to enhance students’ skills in information literacy.
Besides, students will be able to learn the tactful skills for searching relevant information from electronic resources and
library materials in the Information Literacy Workshops. The Academic Pavilion integrates students, computer equipments,
information resources, and librarians together to create a joyous atmosphere of learning.
The Academic Courtyard and Learning Commons
The Academic Courtyard is located just outside the Academic Pavilion. It provides a natural environment to encourage students and academic staff to sit,
relax and discuss outdoors that can offer opportunities for personal interactions and facilitate a dynamic learning community.
The Learning Commons is a large learning space with Wi-Fi internet network system. Students will be able to use the computer or the smart phone to
search electronic information resources for e-learning purpose. There are different components of furniture to form the different kinds of
learning space for the purposes of self-study and group discussion. The new setting of audio-visual devices is provided for supporting the activities
of Mini Seminars and the Exhibition. Library staff provide the enquiry services in the new setting of Information Services Counter for students learning support.
